The Lady of Lindisfarne
Inspired
St Cuthberts island is a very special place for many of our visitors .
We had a lady in the Gallery last summer that told us of an amazing spiritual happening regarding the island. She was with a group that took a nun friends ashes across on low water, the priest spread her ashes in the water beside the island in the shape of a cross & immediately the sun burst through the clouds . Tears flowed as the shadow of the cross perfectly formed in the same shadow of her ashes .

This painting was sold at my first solo exhibition and i would love to know where the original is now !
The picture here does not really show the beauty of this painting, and only recently after 3 years whilst cleaning the glass found a ghostly monk sitting at a table in the centre of the painting with something shining in his hand acoss the table to a woman on the other side .
On Earth as it is in Heaven
One of the islands best places that many people love to sit down and think/relax/pray or watch the sun go down
